INCREASE OF BRAKING EFFICIENCY OF LOCAL ELECTRIC TRAINS

It was developed a braking system for electric trains equipped with cast iron braking shoes, which allows shortening braking distance at emergency braking. Braking efficiency Increase is provided at the expense of braking force regulation depending on train speed according to calculated force of wheels with rails cohesion change. Analytical dependencies set as the basic of suggested braking model are given. It was made an analysis of ways of change of braking shoes pressing force at speed change. It is given the description of the working principle and operation of braking pressing rapid regulation. The offered braking system is being introduced at motor-carriage depot Minsk. Decrease of braking distance at emergency braking is 15—25%.

A PROBLEM OF FORCED AXIALLY-SYMMETRIC VIBRATIONS OF LIQUID-FILLED CYLINDRICAL SHELL FASTENED AND LOADED WITH AXIAL COMPRESSING FORCES

Problem of forced axially-symmetric vibrations of liquid-filled cylindrical shells reinforced by a cross system of ribs and loaded with axial compressing forces is investigated. Using the equation of motion of structurally-orthotropic shell, liquid and contact permeability conditions the formulas for finding permutations of the points of a liquid-folled shell loaded by axial compressing forces and reinforced by a cross system of liquid-folled ribs are obtained. Formulas for simplication fending resonance frequencies of vibrations of the considered system are also obtianed as well.

DYNAMICS OF CIRCULAR METAL-POLYMERIC PLATES ON EN ELASTIC FOUNDATION. PART I. FREE VIBRATIONS

The axisymmetrical free vibrations of elastic circular three-layer metal-polymeric plate on en elastic foundation are explored. Reaction of foundation was described on the base of Winkler’s model. For the kinematics description asymmetrical on the thickness of package accepted hypothesises broken normal. Filler is light. Analytical deciding a problem are received and their numeric analysis are conducted.

IMPACT STRAINING OF A COMPOSITE BEAM, COUPLED WITH ELASTIC FOUNDATION

Kinematical parameters of free transient vibrations of a composite beam, caused by the action of an immediate point impulse on the surface of the upper layer, are examined. Material elastic imperfections of the layers are taking into account on the basis of complex elastic modulus. Span of the beam between the rigid fixed bearings on its butts is situated on elastic inertialess foundation. Influences of the internal friction and foundation on the kinematical parameters of the beam are analysed.

INVESTIGATION OF INITIAL DEFLECTION FILLED RIBBED SHELL ON CRITICAL STRESSES OF GENERAL STABILITY LOSS

In the paper the influence of initial deflection of filled cylindrical shell strengthened by a regular system of longitudinal ribs on critical stresses of general stability loss is investigated. The mixed energetic method and nonlinear equation of the strain compatibility is assumed as a basis of analysis. The curve of equilibrium states whose maximum corresponds to critical value of the load is constructed.

MECHANICS OF DEFORMATION AND STRUCTURE FOR MATION IN COMPOSITES BASED ON METAL-POLYMER DISPERSED SYSTEMS

The deformation processes of metal-polymer copper-polytetrafluoroethylene powder system have been investigated by computer methods. The structural models have been developed, the values of displacements and stresses have been defined. Strain-induced variations in the zones of contact interactions of dispersed components of powder systems are shown under the influence of a distributed compressive load. Microstructural investigation results of metal-polymer powder systems and their composite materials are presented.

INFLUENCE OF GAS MOLECULES SIZE ON THEIR DIFFUSION IN CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE

It is shown, that the diffusivity reduction at polymer cross-linked is due to drift of gas-diffusant molecules on cross-wise links. A gas molecule diameter raising result to change of effective structural characteristics of cross-linked polymer, that more intensifies this effect.

THE POLYMER MELTS RHEOLOGY PECULIARITIES

Rheological equation of the line polydisperse polymer in the one-dimensional asymptotic approximation is offered using statistical method to describe the melt shear flow process. The physical content of its basic characteristics is determined. The rheological equation allows explaining rather broad range of the experimentally stated peculiarities of the polymer melt shift flow.

WEAR AND FATIGUE RESISTANCE OF NITRIDED TITANIUM ALLOY Ti-6Al-2Mo-2Cr

Wear and fatigue resistance of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-2Mo-2Cr nitrided by various technologies was investigated. It was shown than nitriding results in increase in microhardness of near-surface layer up to 1900-2100 HV0,2 and improves wear resistance in 15-20 times. Gaseous nitriding of titanium alloy in the atmosphere of dissociated ammonia reduces its fatigue resistance. Computer simulations were used to calculate the elastic-stressed condition of the gradient layer formed on the surface of the nitrided titanium alloy. It was shown that strain and compressing stresses appear in the nitrided layer. It was concluded that reduced fatigue resistance of titanium alloy subjected to nitriding in the atmosphere of dissociated ammonia can be explained by accelerating appearance of fatigue microcracks in strained areas of modified layers due to hydrogen saturation.
